What is next?
If you have decided to make Jesus the Lord of your life and be baptized into Him, congratulations! Praise the Lord! You may be wondering what to do now that you are a Christian. First, don't ever stop studying the Bible, praying, and worshiping God. Baptism is not the end of a spiritual walk, but the beginning. Just as a wedding isn't the end of a marriage, but the beginning. You will continue to recognize sin in your life that you must stop. You will have more understanding of His Word and grow closer to God if you put in the effort to continue following Him.

If you have not already, you must find a group of believers, a local church congregation, to become a part of. Hebrews 10 tells us not to neglect meeting with one another. With so many "churches" it may seem hard to find any that believe strictly in the Bible. Look for a church that has a New Testament name (such as "churches of Christ" from Romans 16:16). They should also attempt to be like the church talked about in the Bible. Christians of the Bible came together every Sunday to sing songs, pray, fellowship, study Scripture, and take the Lord's Supper. Find a congregation that does these things well. With what is taught, make sure it is always in step with the Bible. Accordingly, the church shouldn't add anything else to be Bible such as additional books, creeds, or doctrines. The Bible is our last book, it is our creed, and it is our doctrine.

If you already attend a congregation, but they are not teaching from the Bible, it is best to try to convert them. If this is not possible, it may be better to find another place to worship where you may be spiritually uplifted. Do all things with prayer.
